The U9 Div 1 team played their final round robin match
against top-ranked Normanhurst on Saturday the 15th of August 2009, a game they
had to win to gain entry into the grand finals. It was a hard-fought match and
North Ryde played their socks off, particularly in the first half, but the 1 - 1
draw at stumps was enough to keep them out of the finals and they will have to
fancy their chances again next year.
